This is what God has called us to do. In Acts 1:8, Jesus said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest parts of the earth”.

Our mission as a church is to spread the love and word of God to our city, our country, and to the ends of the earth. Our mission statement comes from the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:38-39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Our Team
Pastor Chris Nelson
Senior PastorPastor Chris Nelson has been the Senior Pastor of College Park Baptist Church in Saraland, Alabama since 2023. Pastor Chris grew up in Northwest Florida. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 24 and surrendered to ministry in 1997. His desire is to lead the church to grow in their relationship with Christ and each other. From these relationships develop a strong evangelist/mission mindedness to serve Jesus Christ in our own community and beyond. He married Tammy in 1986 and they have eight children. You can hear Pastor Chris’s sermons on College Park Baptist Church’s YouTube Channel.
Caleb Gorum
Youth PastorCaleb Gorum serves as the Youth Pastor at College Park Baptist Church and has been serving in student ministry for more than seven years. He earned an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Caleb is passionate about helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus and discover what it means to follow Him every day. His heart is to teach God’s Word, invest in the lives of students, and equip them to make disciples of all nations.
He and his wife, Stacy, have two wonderful children, Barrett and Mae, who keep life fun and full of adventure. As a family, they love spending time together, traveling, and making memories wherever they go.
Caleb enjoys getting to know people from all walks of life and believes some of the best ministry happens through genuine relationships. Whether he’s spending time with students, meeting new families, or playing the occasional round of disc golf, he loves connecting with others and pointing them toward Christ. He is excited to serve the students and families of College Park and looks forward to seeing how God continues to work in and through their lives.
Chad Robinson
Children’s DirectorChad Robinson serves as the Children's Director at College Park Baptist Church. He has a heart for helping children grow in their faith and creating a fun, welcoming environment where they can learn about God's love.
Outside of church, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and watching favorite football teams. (Roll Tide!) Gardening is a new hobby he's been learning, and he has loved discovering the joy of watching things grow.
One of Chad's favorite Bible verses is James 1:2-3, which reminds us to "consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." This verse has encouraged him to stay grounded in faith through every season of life.
Chad is looking forward to getting to know each of you and walking alongside our children as they learn, grow, and discover who God has called them to be!
Camm Lewis
Worship LeaderCamm Lewis serves as the Worship Leader at College Park Baptist Church, where he believes strongly in leading others in authentic worship. He works with the worship team to create an environment where everyone feels welcome to worship freely and experience the presence of God.
Music has always been a part of life for Camm. He comes from a long line of musicians, and while he often jokes that he is the least talented musician in the family, he is thankful for the opportunity to use the gifts God has given him to serve through worship.
Outside of church, he enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trail running are just a few. Camm is looking forward to worshipping with you and experiencing what God continues to do at College Park Baptist Church.
Barbara Jones
Church AdministratorBarbara has been a member of College Park Baptist Church for over 30 years. During this time, she has served in many areas of the church. Being a Sunday school teacher and a nursery worker have been her most joyful positions. She has worked in the church office for the last 6 years, first as an office administrator and now as the financial secretary.
Her life verse is Psalm 9:9-10. This verse speaks of God as our refuge and reminds her that He knows her name.
Barbara has been married to Charles Jones for 56 years. God blessed them with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two beautiful twin granddaughters.
Jaci Rials
Church AdministratorJaci has the privilege of serving as the secretary at College Park Baptist Church. She enjoys helping with the day-to-day operations of the church and supporting its ministries as they serve the congregation and community.
She loves being part of the close-knit community of North Mobile. Jaci is married to Ryne Rials, a teacher and coach at Saraland High School. Together they have two precious children, Neely and Elly Kay. As a family, they enjoy going on new adventures and making memories together.
Jaci is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord through the ministry of College Park Baptist Church and is thankful to be part of what God is doing here.
